Last day! Wahoo!
I had to work today, so I woke up very early before heading to work. I did make hot water, lemon, and ginger to drink first thing in the morning. I then began making all of my juices for the day. I made four juices in total. I saved half of my lunch juice for my dinner juice again. I put them all into styrofoam coffee cups, numbered them and put them into a lunchbox to take to work. It took me about an hour to prepare all of the fruits and vegetables, juice everything, and to clean up the kitchen.
It was pretty hard at work. I was feeling pretty hungry, almost cranky. But, I was able to contain myself, and just stick to my juices. A key thing I forgot to mention the last two days is that I have been drinking a ton of water alongside the juices. I think that really helps me to feel fuller longer. If I ever do this again (which if I do, it won’t be for a long time!) I’ll make sure to do this when I don’t have to work for three days. It’s difficult to cook food all day long and not be able to have anything to eat at all. I wouldn’t be able to eat the food I cook anyway, but you know what I mean.
When I got home from work I was able to workout for about 30 minutes. While researching juice cleanses, I read that you shouldn’t do really hard workouts while doing this cleanse. I just used my stationary bicycle, kettle bell, and three pound dumbbells. I just got my Polar heart rate monitor in the mail and was dying to use it for the first time!
Again, it seems to be an ongoing theme going on the last three days, when I sat down to relax, I fell asleep. I feel asleep before I ate anything for dinner. When I woke up it was pretty late. I missed eating my food. I missed a friend’s birthday party I was suppose to go to. It really bummed me out! When I woke up, I had a slight headache. I ate a banana and made a hot, green tea to drink and went back to bed.
When I woke up this morning, I weighed myself. For the last three days I have lost a total of 5.9 pounds. I really believe this cleanse helped me feel better and detox my body. I know I’ve said this the last two days, but my body feels much tighter. I feel more energized during the day. It made me fall asleep way too early every night, but maybe that was a good thing to get more rest during these days anyway. My skin looks clearer. I noticed some redness spots I’ve had on my face are starting to disappear. I think my skin overall looks healthier.
I do really believe this juice cleanse gave my body a little boost to help jump kick my body into losing more weight. I’ll probably do this again, just not anytime really soon.
Also, just a disclaimer that I am not a health professional or have I ever claimed to be. I am just a really fat girl, who is on a mission to lose weight and always wanted to go on a juice cleanse, but never had the willpower to do so until now. I just wanted to share my experience. I know a lot of people have opinions about this and I’d love to hear them.
